
The General Director of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), Zoé Robledo, along with the Head of Government, Clara Brugada, led the launching event for one thousand transfer ambulances in an initiative aimed at expanding health service coverage, particularly directed towards the most vulnerable population.
Clara Brugada emphasized the importance of having more ambulances in Mexico City, as it ensures greater well-being and a better quality of life for half of the population. From the IMSS headquarters, Brugada mentioned that these new units symbolize hope, saved lives, guaranteed rights, and crucial moments for emergency care.
For his part, Zoé Robledo detailed that the ambulances will be designated for scheduled transfer services, both for transporting insured individuals to medical units and for transporting organs intended for transplants. Additionally, he explained that these one thousand new units will be distributed among the 35 IMSS representations across the 32 entities of the country, as well as in 25 high-specialty medical units and other strategic points.
The ambulances are equipped with cutting-edge technology, such as high-power engines, high load capacity, advanced safety systems, and various features that ensure optimal performance in emergency situations. This step marks a significant advancement in strengthening health services and emergency care throughout the country.
